Dear Students, Academics and Administrative and Technical staff,
The way the health crisis related to cases of infection with Coronavirus COVID - 19 is evolving requires special care and attention by everyone. In order to implement suitable measures at the right time, I have set up a group of the University's top management to keep the situation monitored.
Our intention is to implement appropriate precautionary measures without creating alarm and to reduce to the minimum the repercussions on the organization of our academic life. Some decisions that we have already had to take and others that we will have to take in the future will require changes in daily activities and will create some difficulties. If all the members of our university can work collaboratively we will be able to face this serious situation with the right spirit to achieve our objectives of safeguarding the health of our community and dealing with everyone's concerns with common sense.
With a view to limiting gatherings and the movement of people, in agreement with the other universities in Lombardy, and in line with the provisions issued by central and local authorities, we have decided to suspend all teaching and conference activities for a week. Activities that have been suspended and those that will continue fully of partially are listed below.
All the measures implemented will be immediately adapted to reflect any new developments or further provisions issued by the authorities.
We will endeavour to keep you regularly informed of the situation. All updates will be available online and we encourage you to refer to the university website www.unicatt.it.
Thank you all for your cooperation. Our thoughts are with those affected by the virus and with those whose lives are directly affected by what is happening. We will do everything possible to alleviate the inconvenience caused to members of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore.
Sincerely
Franco Anelli
Rector
Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore
