A working group of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, led by the Rector, Professor Franco Anelli, and the General Manager, Mr. Paolo Nusiner, is currently meeting to establish how to manage all issues which may arise from the suspension of teaching activities decided by the Conference of Rectors of Universities in Lombardy, following the news regarding the spread of the Coronavirus COVID-19.
We will keep our students and personnel promptly informed of any new developments and updates concerning the upcoming days.
Please find below the Notice from the Conference of Rectors of Universities in Lombardy explaining the reasons for suspending the teaching activities.
The development of the situation regarding the spread of the Coronavirus COVID-19 has led us to enforce the adoption of preventative measures to safeguard public health and guarantee the proper functioning of institutional activities at all the universities in Lombardy, given the normal large scale movement within the region by students, whether from within Lombardy or not.
From Monday 24 February to Saturday 29 February all teaching activities (lessons, and exams for courses and graduation) will be suspended.
Unless otherwise advised by the authorities, we intend that all university activities will return to normal on Monday 2 March. Graduation sessions and exams will be postponed according to the schedules set up by the individual Campuses.
This decision has been made and further action will be taken in close cooperation with the civil and health authorities.
We will immediately advise students, personnel, and the community of any further news and information about the situation.
